Artist Statement:
I am an emerging representational artist working in watercolor. Dogs and canine themes feature prominently in my work but I am also inspired by equestrian, floral, and nature themes. I favor saturated color, dramatic light and close-up perspectives. My work invites viewers to discover often overlooked details and celebrate the positives in our relationships with animals and the natural world.
I work out of my Brindle Studio in Castleton, Virginia. When not in the studio, I enjoy trail riding on my mule Emma; walking with my dogs; and sketching on location at interesting places in Virginia.
